I had planned on making yesterday my "rest" day from exercising because I was having some shoulder pain after my workout on Wednesday, but when my husband left to take our son to work (still down to one vehicle waiting on a part to be delivered so our son's vehicle can be repaired) and play pickleball for a couple of hours, I couldn't fall back to sleep. I gave up after about 15 minutes of tossing and turning and decided that I would just go for a walk in our neighborhood. After all the temperatures were still pleasant at the time and I thought I knew a route that would be about 3 miles. Welp, in typical Susan fashion, I over did it. I was feeling good at mile two and adjusted my route thinking what I planned originally was going to be too short. What was 3 miles turned into 5 miles and that last mile was me begging my legs to get me home. So, needless to say, I won't be going to the gym today. I did find that I can make it through 4 miles and feel pretty decent so my fitness level has improved somewhat. Now I just have to figure out a route that will have me arriving home at then end of 4 miles maybe in a few months 5 miles will feel like 3 and I'll be ready to tackle the next goal. With the temperatures rising and school starting back up, I probably won't be walking in the neighborhood again for a while anyway.
