New Release: Calendars!

Sorry about yesterday.  I forgot to remind Connie that we switched out days due to me being gone to UIL Marching Contest the night before.  However, the new releases are just as great today as they were yesterday so here we go.  I need a printed calendar to hang in my house.  Who am I kidding?  I need at least two if not more.  One for all the school related things for my three kids, myself, and my husband.  We keep that one in the kitchen and it fills up fast.  I keep a second one in my music room (piano area) so I can write down all my piano lessons and student happenings.  Of course I also use the app on my phone but there’s just something about writing things down that makes it stick for me.  Connie’s templates and premade calendars are a winner for me!  Not only is the calendar pretty but it’s personal too.  Check out this week’s new releases!

How is today treating you?  I hope you are having a day filled with lots of laughter and joy.  I’m making it my mission today and tomorrow to find 5 things that have made me smile or brought me joy.  Why 5?  It’s my favorite number so I thought it would be a good place to start.

August 2015 GGI Sale Event

The August 2015 Gotta Grab It Sale Event kicked off early this morning.  I have to admit I had a lazy morning taking advantage of my very last Saturday to sleep in for a while, at least through the fall marching season anyway.  Late Friday nights followed by early Saturday send offs for competition is how we roll.  Though I suspect that the kids will go back to sleep on the buses.

I gave a hint about what song was playing on a loop in my head yesterday as I blogged about Travelogue California.  Based off my hint, Sam guessed Lee Greenwood’s “Proud to Be An American.”  That is a GREAT song to base the whole Travelogue series off of!  I hadn’t thought of that one yet but now it’s playing in my head along with visual flashes (which can be a little distracting as I’m trying to focus and put this blog post together – #musician problems).  The visual flashes I’m having are of my 6th graders from the past couple years singing that song as the audience watched the slideshow of their family members who are or have served in the military.  Usually there’s not a lot of dry eyes after that song.  However, that’s not the song that I was thinking of and singing at the time I was blogging.  It was Woody Guthrie’s “This Land Is Your Land.”

No matter what song is in your head, Travelogue California is a wonderful addition to the Travelogue series!  I love all the elements that Connie has put into these kits that represent each destination but I also love how versatile these collections are.
