How is your Saturday going?  Mine has been busy and I’m just getting a chance to stop and blog for today.  Though I have to admit that earlier this morning I did get off task with Facebook for a bit.  I went to post a photo I had edited of my husband and I got totally sidetracked.  That led to me needing a break from the computer for a bit, okay, I admit it, I went in for some kitten cuddles to reset my mind. Anyway, on to Connie’s news for today, shall we?

The July 2016 Retiring Products Sale is underway as well so Connie can make room for more wonderful products in her stores.  I picked up School Blues today in this sale.  Tuesday and Wednesday I have teacher professional development classes with the Fine Arts team from my district.  I think I’ll make up some treats for my team and use this kit to create the tags/cards to go with them.  What are you going to get before it’s gone forever?

That’s all I have for today.  I hope you are enjoying your Saturday and I look forward to seeing you all at the Slow Scrap & Chat tonight!  I have one more layout to share with you before you head off (you’ll want to stay for the freebie at the end).  This is a layout I finished today using Connie’s #2016 July Collection.  Some of you may remember that my family just got back from a trip to Colorado last week.  This is one of the many special moments I captured on day 2 of the trip while we were hiking on an extinct volcano in New Mexico. It was one of our side stops on our way to Colorado.  What makes me love this one so much is that my husband has his arm around my son’s shoulders in one of those rare bonding moments and you can also see my two daughter’s running on ahead (Rachel is almost out of the frame she was so quick).

I turned this into a quick page as a freebie for all of you Connie Prince fans.  I replaced the journal card at the bottom with a journal spot for you.  Love the journal card?  Just pull it from the collection and then layer it over the paper at the bottom and you’ll be good to go!  Enjoy!

Happy Digital Scrapbooking Day!!!!

I bet you have had your computer booted and running at full speed ahead all morning.  I can’t say that I have but I have been playing nurse to two sick kiddos all night.  I am just now getting online and I’m about to head out on mommy duties with our oldest for the afternoon.  I’ll jump in on the fun around 5 this evening though.  I’m declaring this evening quiet time for Mommy.  LOL

Calendars are a quick yet very practical gift and what better way to share your favorite memories from the year than to personalize one for those you love!  We have at least 3 calendars hanging around our house and I’m going to print one to hang up at school as well.  Yes, technology is great but there’s something about writing stuff on a calendar that seems to stick with me.  Do I still use my phone for reminders?  You bet but seeing it in print helps keep my family all on track. Otherwise one of them might get left waiting at an event or worse, we might be late getting them somewhere and that drives me crazy.

Connie loves to get together with her scrapping friends and fans to chat!  Now while some of us manage to scrap while chatting most of us spend the time chatting and the scrap later.  I tend to fall into the latter category most of the time.  It’s too much fun to add the random comment here and there.  Yes, I’m the mischief maker of the group.  Though now that the weather is getting warm in my neck of the woods, I’ll have to come up with something other than different flavors of hot chocolate to talk about.  Those of you who were in those winter chats with me need to know that the Land O’ Lakes Raspberry Hot Chocolate and the Carmel Hot Chocolate became my staple favorites.  However, the Mint Hot Chocolate and the Vanilla Hot Chocolate weren’t far behind. They are on my list of must haves for next fall!
