It's that time of the week where we are on the cusp of seeing the weekend arrive but have a bit of work to do. Sometimes I get to Thursday and wonder where the week went and other times I get to Thursday and wonder how I'm going to get through a few more days before crashing hard. I'm sort of in that later category this week. It may have something to do with the shortening hours of daylight. It's dark as I'm driving to work which seemed to happen out of no where. I'm serious, last week I was driving with plenty of sun breaking across the horizon and this week it's been full headlights on and no sun on the horizon. I know that's definitely affecting my mood.
I hope where ever you are, you're doing well and if you are experiencing any of these same feelings that you'll be able to shake them off and find something to be joyful about. Me? My moment of joy this week was hearing one of my 7th/8th grade Tenor/Bass singers leave the choir room saying that my class is the one that seems to fly by every day. It happened on a day where I needed to hear that the most. Rehearsal was productive but we were in the thick of things perfecting the ending of one of their upcoming concert pieces and I wasn't feeling in particularly joyful. That one comment completely changed my outlook. Yes, it was hard, but the end result was awesome.
Check-in with your crafting friends today and see how they are doing. I bet they would love to hear from you!
Here's what Connie has happening this wonderful Thursday.
These two new Quick Page packs are rounding out being on sale. Grab them today!
This weekend will also be the end of the September Bake Sale at Ginger Scraps. I love the possibilities in #2023 September with all the natural colors and fantastic elements! This is one of those classic collections that is timeless.
Today's freebie is a cluster from CTM Kelly that she made with Connie's "Weather the Storm" collection. I really want to work with this kit this weekend. There's something about it that's calling to my heart and I feel the urge to make some cards. The way Kelly tucked that paper square under the cluster reminds me of a quilted coaster.
See you later!
~Susan~
