Happy Plans + FREEBIE

Hello weekend!  I am so thankful that the weekend is here.  I finally gave in and went to the doctor yesterday and they tested me for all the usual suspects, strep, flu, and yes, the ugly C virus.  All those came back negative but since I had no voice, had a sore throat that was in the 5th day of feeling like I swallowed glass, swollen tonsils, chest congestion, sinus congestion, and obviously had tried everything possible before going to the doctor, they decided it is some sort of upper respiratory infection.  So I started antibiotics last night.  Here's hoping that I can kick this junk to the curb by Monday.  No one has time to be sick!

So there's my update on that front.  I hope all of you are well and that you are getting to enjoy your weekend. Let's take a quick look at the collection that Connie released yesterday, Happy Plans.  The bright and happy colors caught my attention when I first saw this collection but I completely missed that it could be used to create a digital version of a paper planner!  I love this idea!  I'm love the look of paper planners but again, anything that has to do with stickers, tape, glue, and scissors really overwhelms me.  I never seem to make it look as perfectly organized and neat as it looks in other people's photos.  Digital gives me so much more control and who can go wrong with gridlines and programs that help you align things perfectly?  Plus there isn't a mess to put away when you are at the end of the project or at a time that you have to stop.  It use to be that my kids would be the ones making the messes out of all the supplies, now it's our cats.  We have one named Fermata that I affectionately tell people that he's a kleptomaniac.  If something is loose and gets his attention, he's taken off like a bolt of lightning with it.  Paper, pens, ribbons, yarn, peppermints (yep that happened in the middle of a piano lesson - jumped right up on the piano, snagged one, and ran off in the blink of an eye).  The cat has no shame.

Of course Happy Plans can be used for so many different things.  Here's another look at this fun collection along with some inspiration from Connie's CT.

Happy Plans @ My Memories

I'm off to rest for a little bit and then see what I feel like tackling next.  Maybe I'll just crochet for a little while.  Those are some happy plans!  Here is a cluster frame freebie from CTM Deb made with Connie's Hurt and Healing kit.

Have a spectacular Saturday!
