Whew! It's been a crazy but amazing week. I'm sorry for missing a few posts but we were with our son and his High School band at Texas UIL State Marching Contest for 5A schools. They made it to Finals and placed 8th in the state out of 252 5A bands! Competition at this level is insane. We are really proud of and happy for these kids. Needless to say, we pulled in Wednesday morning just after mid-night and then had to return to the school at 2 am to pick up our son. 6 am came around way too early but we all crawled out of bed and got to school. I'm going to get this post put together and then head to bed.

Last week Connie released this addition to the Life Chronicled series called Life Chronicled: Deeply Rooted. I'm hoping to get to work with it on Saturday. This collection reminded me of this Chinese Proverb. "When roots are deep, there is no reason to fear the wind." Looking at the layouts being shared that were made with this kit, a lot of people had the same first thought I did, it's perfect for heritage layouts!
