Topsy Turvy Week…..

Okay, honestly, it’s not that bad.  I’m just juggling quite a few things at the moment and today’s post is off schedule.  However, I have some layout inspiration for you with Connie’s two newest collections that Shelby introduced yesterday.

What’s your current situation?  Even the every day things should be documented in your life.  I know some of you younger scrappers may not think it’s a big deal but ask some of us that have been here for a while and we’ll tell you, those every day moments change too.  There are some things I wish I had taken photos of from my college years, early days of my relationship with my husband, days before we had children, etc. that I would love to share with my children now that the oldest is reaching that point in her life.  Things I didn’t think were that big of deal at the time but looking back, those every day moments helped shape who I am today.  Connie’s new collection “Currently” is a fun and happy one that make scrapping about your current situation (and maybe not so current) a fun project to take on.

Check it out at Gingerscraps.

One of the reasons I like seeing CT layouts or layouts in the galleries before I buy a kit is that they give me an idea of what is in the kit and how those pieces might come together.  This collection is one that surprised me.  When I first looked at the preview of the bundle that pinks and oranges pulled my eye.  The teals/blues and greens were sort of in the background of what I was focusing on.  This first layout by one of Connie’s CTM’s represents more of what I envisioned as possible, but I love that she pulled the green and teal to balance the pinks and oranges.  I’m thinking happy and a little bit funky mixed.

But then I saw these layouts by some of Connie’s CTM’s.  The blues and greens took on a whole new life!  These layouts spoke to the soothing side of the collection. Score!  Two totally different emotions being pulled from one collection!

Then this one caught my eye.  It’s a mix with a bit of light but not going to the ultra bright side.  Suddenly this collection is one that appeals to many different emotional sides.

Now “Currently” has gone to the top of my wish list of kits that I want to add to my scrapping stash.

Mermaids, Water, Oceans, and more come to mind with Connie’s other new release, “Mermaid Tales.”  It’s fun but also has the “grown up” feel to it that makes this collection great.  Can you see the possibilities?

Check all this awesomeness out at Digital Scrapbooking Studio!

You probably noticed that these kits are only available at one place each.  Both of these are exclusive to their stores for this month.  They are special releases and that means they are on sale this week at a special price.  It’s the perfect time to pick them up!

Today’s freebie is a sweet Quick Page by our talented CTM Deanna using Currently.  To download, you can click on the preview or the link below the preview.  Have a fantastic day!
