Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Our weather was nothing short of AMAZING! It was 25 degrees celsius (about 77 degrees fahrenheit) both Saturday and Sunday ... in MARCH! So much for our reputation for Canadian "winters". LOL!
We had a little drama at our place on Saturday. I was out taking a mommy shopping day (they come about once a year) and, while I was gone, my husband and daughter lost our dog - Summer. Not only did she escape from the yard, no one noticed for about 5 hours that she wasn't around! She is a 16-year-old Jack Russell who is deaf, mostly blind and extremely diva-licious. :) Needless to say that I arrived home to a complete state of panic. After much searching, crying and worrying, we started a door-to-door canvas of our street and found a young boy who had found Summer and whose family had driven her to the Humane Society (SPCA). The boy said that he watched her go door to door barking. Those Jacks may be noisy, but they sure are smart! We were able to pick her up this morning and she seems just fine - though, quite oddly, we have not yet heard a bark out of her. If you are at all familiar with Jacks, you'll know that no barking is quite odd indeed!
