Okay, I have to admit that I’ve been a little impatient to reach Friday this week. Our oldest daughter has been away at band camp (and by away I mean 5 hours away from home) and the first 48 hours were tough. I hadn’t had this feeling before when she was away on band trips so it was odd. I think it was a combination of her being on a college campus, being without anyone from home as in nobody with her that we knew or she knew, and knowing that in one very short year we will be helping her pack to make the move a lengthier one. I have been fine since getting to talk to her on Monday night (48 hours felt like an eternity) but I am looking forward to having her home under my roof again.
