Nine days and counting ...

Dare I type it out load?  Here goes ... Christmas Eve is only one week away!!  Egads - two of my online present purchases haven't yet arrived, I'm still short two gift certificates and then there is my mother-in-law.  She is super hard to buy for and I'm only partially done.  If anyone has any good ideas for mother-in-law gifts, leave me a note in the comments below.  I'll be forever in your debt!!

Hope you've been enjoying the CT freebie countdown to Christmas.  Thanks to those who have pointed out that two of the QPs have been the wrong size (only 600x600).  I'm working on getting you a link to download the larger sizes - stay tuned.

The download link on this isn't working. Love the QP's though! Just thought I'd give you a heads up!

One year when my MIL was just starting to get into traditional scrapbooking we gave her a box filled with some scrapbooking essentials. Pens, scissors, stamps, ink pads, a heat tool for embossing...you get the idea. Anyways this idea could be used for a lot of hobbies: knitting (needles, hooks, yarn, pattern books, etc); baking (measuring spoons, sprinkles, muffin cups, recipe books, a pretty apron...) If your MIL has any kind of hobby or maybe even wants to try something new, this idea could work for you and I'm happy to share it! :) Oh, and once the box was filled (I used one of those photo storage boxes in a pretty pattern) I tied it with a nice ribbon and TA DA! All set :)

I too am nowhere near ready for Christmas! Pressure is starting to build!
BUT - I have so many pretty freebies (THANK YOU!) and I am planning to make a few pages as gifts for my Aunt. (She loves pictures!)
But my struggle is to find a gift for my SIL. She has no hobbies that I know of, so Marny's suggestion doesn't help for her... (Though it is a very nice and thoughtful gift idea to keep for another time).
At least what saves me is that for his brothers & sisters we draw names. So we have 2 adults to buy for and then the kids. So that saves us 8 adults. But we still have other adults to buy for...
I wish they'd all be happy with scrap pages!
Thank you so much! You helping to make a very Merry Christmas!
Hugs, Tif

Love the QPs but unfortunately the link is not working. One small idea for your MIL is a box of mixed greeting cards and stamps.

For my brother this year I got him Alphabet pictures with his last name and am framing them today. That might work for MIL :)

My MIL is so hard to buy for- no hobbies either. I made a digital calendar for her this year with pics from all of her kids and their families. I added individual birthdays with a picture on the date. I printed it through pictales (as suggested on this site). You don't have time to print through them this year but my local Kinkos will print calendars for $20 with your PDF files. I thought this was a great idea that we could use every year with the current pictures from the family. The only problem was getting all of the pictures from the other families!!

Maybe a little late, unless you can get a pick-it-up-in-store (I saw that online for some Walgreens), but I made my MIL a very simple photobook, since she lives across country and we have very little contact with her. We always fix my grandma a gift basket. she keeps very few things and doesn't hobby much, so we usually do specialty food items she misses from Germany, or homemade treats and dad always smokes her some fish or fresh jerky she must love it, because we've never had complaints and she's always been very outspoken!
