Take $2 Tuesday 1/6/15

Welcome to the first Take $2 Tuesday of 2015!!  If you have two dollars you can pick up either of today’s sale kits (4 dollars will get you both).  You can also pick up the coordinating addon packs for $1 each!  So if you missed either of these kits when they released in 2014 now would be the perfect time to pick them up and build your own mega stash.  I seriously love the colors in {HUES} Red Hot.  It is the perfect romantic kit and so much more.  Words of Wisdom has a softer feel and the word bits/tags are very inspirational.

The page is beautiful - the text on the border is backwards, though!

Oh oops. That would be because I flipped a boarder cluster. You could always take an element from the kit and place it over the object with the text to hide it. Place a flower or the same tag but it would be on the top layer. That would be the best solution to this conundrum. I'll pay closer attention if I ever choose to use a border cluster again.

I've done that a few times myself. It's usually found after I've put it in the gallery so I give brownie points to the people who let me know.

Yep. I don't use border clusters very often so I didn't even think about it flipping the text like in a mirror. That's one of those live and learn moments. It was really meant to be used on the left side of a layout but the page wasn't working out that way for me so I flipped the border. EEEK! I didn't save the file or I would have pulled it back up and tried a different border.

It bugs me when I put a layout in a gallery and a month later realize there is a big ole' typo. At least in the world of digital scrapping (if we keep the original file) we can open it back up and fix those things. I've made a note to myself to save the freebie files of those that I make from here on out for a week before deleting them. That way if one of you catch something like this I can fix it and switch out the files.

Sorry about not being able to fix this one! I may use it to do a layout about mistakes happen or mirror images.....
