I'm blushing ...

I know, I know, I'm a bad blogger!  No Monday post to start your week off right.  I am so sorry.  Blame it on my 23rd great-grandfather!!  Yep - you read right - I got so caught up in tracing my family history through Ancestry.com on Sunday night that I ended up with no time to post for you.

I am having so much fun digging into my past.  I've made it back to the 1300s in one line but there are so many holes to fill that I think I could be at this forever!!  My next task is tackling my mother's side of the family where the last names are Smith and Jones.  Can you imagine?  It will be like looking for a needle in a haystack!

Anyway, tonight I learned my lesson and am posting for you BEFORE I start my tree work.

Lots to talk about today ... let's start with how sweet Connie's post from yesterday was!  Aw shucks - who was that nice girl she was talking about?  I thought the post was supposed to be about me! LOL.  Joining Connie's team opened up a whole creative side of me that I didn't know even existed - I never would have done any designing if she hadn't taken a chance on me!  Someday I'm sure we'll meet in person ...

Next up, a reminder about the most amazing kits I've seen in a long time:

OH THE PLACES

You can grab this fabulous collection in Grab Bag form (six products for only $5.00) until Thursday and, trust me, you'll want every single co-ordinating piece!  You'll find the full reveal at any of the following store links and be sure to check out the matching word-art add-on as well.

Connie's CT keeps pumping out the inspiration and I just can't help but share some more with you!

Next up is a reminder to stop by Connie's GOTTA PIXEL store each day until March 10 to pick up the pieces of her gorgeous ENJOY THIS DAY free daily download.

Tuesday marks a new COLLECTION OF THE WEEK and I have to say that Connie has made an AWESOME choice this week!  Eep - did I just make such a miserable excuse for a joke?  Forgive me! :)

Before we get to the re-release of THREE FREEBIES for MADE OF AWESOME, I would just like to say thanks to the super ladies who came out to Connie's Designer Spotlight chat/scrap at Gotta Pixel on Friday night.  We certainly missed the lady of the hour because our poor Conniekins and her family were huddled in their basement waiting out tornados!  Thankfully the Prince family is just fine but we sure were sending her some positive thoughts from the GP chat room.  Since the ninja was away, I got to play - two lucky chatters won a one month guest spot on Connie's creative team!  Shh.  Don't tell Connie - just between us, ok? LOL.  So congratulations and welcome to Helene (April) and Kristin (July)!

Ok - freebie time.  For those of you who are a bit new to the blog or who may have missed these the first time around ...

Don't take everything that you find posted on others family trees as Gospel Truth. Ancestry has a wealth of information, but don't rely on other people's research. I have found many, many errors. Have fun hunting for your ancestors!

My favorite is the embossed paper. I remember embossing real paper 12X12 sheets and my fingers aching from the stylus. This is the way to go.

I've been trying not to get this Awesome kit. Trying. I mean, I have about 30 of Connie's kits, so I should have enough, right? Apparently not, because as soon as I get home from work, I'm gonna have to get this one, too. :)

Oh, and I get the tree thing! I have traced my maternal line back through 16 generations of women (among other lines, too). So very cool. I work on it in spurts, and am reminded that it is time to renew my Ancestry.com sub! :)
