Sunday Chatter With Connie

Hi everyone! Connie this morning with my first weekly "chatter" post. Most of you know that Shari blogs for me daily, and she really does an amazing job! Thank you Shari.

We felt that it was time for me to make more of a showing here on the blog again because I really, really miss interacting with you guys on that level :) So you'll be getting the best of both worlds! Shari doing her daily thing, and I'll be here at least once/week sharing some stuff with you.

My favorite thing about this business is getting to meet and know our community. I'm amazingly blessed to do what I do, to love it, and to be able to share it with SO many wonderful people, like you, is just the icing on my digital cupcake!

Since I'm not really sure just what you'd like to see more of here on the blog I need your help in steering me in the right direction :)

What would you like for me to share with you each week in my post?

Just post your suggestions and feedback in the comments! I'll be doing a random drawing for $10 coupons to my store, and all you have to do is leave a comment (with a contact method) to get entered. I'll annouce those winners next Sunday in my post!

Goodbye winter?

I was scrapping today, and it became obvious right away that I'm officially over winter lol!

Every layout that I started was with bright springy/summery colors..I am ready to say adios old man winter once and for all :) I came up with this page based on some early spring photos from last year that I had yet to scrap. It really, really makes me want to pull out the seed catalogs and start planning my summertime planting!

So my challenge to you this week is to show off what you love about spring, and if you link it up on my Facebook Fanpage you just might see yourself featured here next week :)

This week I will be chatting at Scrapbook-Bytes on 2/13/2011 at 4 pm EST,

and at Gotta Pixel on 2/18/2011 at 8 pm EST!

I agree it's nice to see things other than snow, winter, and valentine. Of course we don't have the snow around here! Thank you for the cluster and thank you for all the wonderful kits you create. I love their versitility.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see something with only flowers, or only buttons, only fasteners, ect. That way it can be a go to kind of thing instead of having to search around all of the different kits. Don't get me wrong, I love the kits, (too much actually) but I am always pulling one thing from this one, two from that one. I would love to have many different styles of one thing at a time in one place. Now...I have to go spend some money and buy more kits! HAHAHA

You have so many wonderful kits with such variety. It would be fun to know where the inspiration for them came from.

I agree, I'd love to know where you get your inspiration from (not to mention the time LOL) to creat your kits. You have such a wide variety of kits and I love them all. (My stash is huge!!). :)

First, let me say I greatly appreciate the fabulous gifts you generously provide on the blog. I am always interested in learning about how to use certain elements or items in kits. Sometimes I see the cute elements, but I don't have the slightest idea what to do with them.

I would like to see tips on compiling clusters. Also would like to see in the store the clusters and QP in psd format even if price were higher. You learn when you see someone doing it.

thank you for sharing this beautiful QP!

First of all, thank you for all of the freebies on your blog! It is so very generous of you to (and Shari) to share your fabulous work! I agree with a lot of what the other gals have said too! I'm not sure what to ask for as I'm still so new to the digi scrapping world. I've been a paper scrapper for 12 years! I just thought of one, I would love to see more ideas with lots of pictures on the page. The layouts with 1-3 photos are so beautiful and I love looking at them, but realistically I have sooo many photos to scrap that 1-3 photos aren't always realistic for me. Maybe layout ideas with say 6-10 photos (I don't like the layouts to be too crowded either, I do love the "art" of it too). Thanks so much for your time and I look forward to chatting with you more!

Hey Connie!! I'm always drawn to those bright spring and summer colors!! I love anything bright...and also wish it was a bit brighter (and warmer!) outside as well. I would love for you to share how you got started Digi Designing, and maybe some how-to designing tips. Sometimes it would be nice to know where to start to make one or two personalized elements for my pages. And I loved the idea about having something with just fastners, buttons, stitching, etc...
Love all your beautiful kits!! And thanks for the freebies!!

First: a huge thank you to you and your team for all the freebies you are so generously offering!!

A thing I'd LOVE to see is
tips/tutorials... I want to learn to blend photos into my papers (or big elements) without seeing the edges of the photo. That's an example of what I want to learn!
Also what others wrote, an insight in the life of you, where you find the time and inspiration to come up with all these FAB kits and such.

And Irish themes are always appreciated cause I can never have enough of those :)

thank you for all the freebies you offer and for the time you all spend on creating your kits and freebies.I would love to see some clusters that do not have flowers, but are kinda generic and ideas on how to create clusters.I agree with another poster here,I like more pics on a page. The one or two don't work for me.I also really love your templates.

I was wondering if you might be able to share with us some simple tricks on how you make things like layered alphas, realistic stitching, stitching around at felt alpha, etc... you know, simple things that we might be able to use everyday. It might be too much to ask (is it giving away design secrets?). Thanks! - Mary Kate

I love your kits! I would like to know more tips on how to use them. For instance how to make cluster frames, how to resize so I can use my creation as an iPhone wallpaper, etc. I'm finally getting time to put into making pages :D need all the help I can get ;D. Thank you! Barb
